April Club Championships

Club Championships are always a close affair with 36 Holes to play, there are always many differing permutations over the two days and even upto the 36th Hole. Club Championships are always exciting, and this years was no different.

The Club Champion for 2012 was Ray Lyons with a gross score of 153 over the two days, the only player to have two rounds in the 70's a well deserved victory indeed. Runner Up, (Bridesmaid), was Henry trailing by 6 shots in the end. Third in the Gross category was Maged. The Nett Competition was very very tight, Nett Champion for 2012 was Angelika Vanderzweip with an even 144 over the two days, beating Aly Tapozada and Tella Omar by one stroke.

This leaves the Order of Merit Tantalizingly close with the top four being separated by only one point. Aly Tapozada leads the OOM on 61 points with only one Match left. Should be an interesting finish to the season on the 25th May.

May Mug which is the final Mug of the current season will be Friday 25th May 9:00am Shotgun start.

Egyptian Golf Federation have launched an initiative to grow the grass roots of the game.
